First I would like you to imagine having an engaged audience that loves to read every new article you publish.

It has been proven that the best way to become an expert in your field is to write. So, what is holding you back? I bet the first thing is time and a close second for some is what to write about. For the purpose of this post, I am going to help you with the time portion of your blogging fear.

Now you may want to brace yourself for this next statement because it is going to FREAK YOU OUT. If you really want to turn your blog into something that stands out online and displays you as an expert in your industry, YOU SHOULD PUBLISH 20 BLOG POSTS PER MONTH. If you have not fainted yet or closed this article, please don’t panic.

I am going to show you how with just 10 hours per month you can create a streamlined blogging schedule that will change your internet presence forever.

We all want that edge online and I am telling you if you blog consistently you will see how fast things will change. If you still feel this is too many posts just think about the newspaper. How many days per month the news paper come out? It is not every other day or a few days per month. It is every day.

The readers that are engaged in the newspaper read it every day. This is what I am telling you to create with your blog and a blogging schedule will help you do just that.

What Is The 20/30 Rule in Creating a Blogging Schedule

I have come up with a blogging schedule that I call the 20/30 Rule. This is 20 posts per month taking 30 minutes each to write. This will be a total of 10 hours per month top publish 20 blog posts to your engaged readers. You could even break that down a bit further and say it is only 2.5 hours week of blog writing.

It important to understand that you can write your posts ahead of time and with most blogging platforms you can schedule their publish date. I LOVE WORDPRESS and recommend it for all bloggers that are serious and want online success. This means that you can write when you have the time and can lay out those 10 hours of blog writing each month where you can fit them in.

The 3o minutes a lotted for each post in your blogging schedule is only possible if you have a writing process in place to make it easy and productive.

This is the fun part guys and gals. Below is a blogging schedule template that will allow you to outline your posts before you publish them. This way when it’s time to write you already have the foundation of your article ready to roll.

Because I preach WordPress I am assuming that you are using WordPress SEO Plugin to optimize your blog posts and this is why the first column of the blogging schedule template is the focus keyword. The next column is for the topic/title of your blog post.

The third column is for the summary of what the post will be about. This text you put here is also good for the SEO Meta Description. The very last column is optional and used if your blog post has an offer or a CTA (call to action). I am going to give you a FREE download to this blogging schedule template in a minute but I want to walk through the process step by step below.
